KOMAN Government Solutions (KGS) has an immediate need for an Environmental Project Manager to support our Northeastern US business operations managed out of our corporate headquarters in Marlborough, MA. The Environmental Project Manager will manage all aspects of environmental investigation, remediation, O&M, and LTM projects for our Federal customers. Our client base includes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Marines, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Guard Bureau, Federal Aviation Administration, as well as various state, municipal and commercial entities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently manage multiple projects of varying complexity for multiple clients ranging in value from $25K - $10M.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Supervise and mentor multiple staff members.
- Identify, develop, and align the resources to complete the projects. This may include preparing calculations, reports, and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and subcontractors/vendors.
- Coordinate with accounting for project initiation; forecasting; accounts payable; and client invoicing.
- Oversee project financials including project budgets, cost control performance, profitability updates to managers, labor costs and expenses, tracking all contracts, invoices, and payments.
- Develop understanding of project-related risk. Be familiar with risk policies and what could go wrong on a project and how to protect KGS.
- Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Create and model a safe work environment.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.
- Assist with business development, proposal pricing strategies, proposal preparation, contract legal and risk reviews, and related marketing efforts needed to develop winning proposals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or related field required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience as an Environmental Project Manager.
- 8 years of experience working on a wide range of projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulations for federal clients, including EPA, USACE, Navy, Air Force, MA Army National Guard.
- Experience managing CERCLA projects, including Preliminary Assessments (with HRS scoring), Site Inspections, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Decision Documents, and 5 Year Reviews.
- Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and current OSHA 8 hour Refresher HAZWOPER training.
- Professional certification/registration in a relevant field, such as: Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar registration/certification preferred.
