What you would engage in:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineer with a strong background in civil earthworks. The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with hands-on experience in both design and site-based projects. The role is based in Sudbury ON, but may support fly-in-fly-out from one of our designated office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil earthworks projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Perform site inspections and provide on-site engineering support to ensure construction activities comply with design plans, contract commitments and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clint, engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Review dam safety instrumentation data/readings and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, project proposals, construction summary reports, and drawings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices in civil earthworks and construction engineering.


What we require:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil earthworks, including both design and site-based roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Effective communication, with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools used in design and project management.
  • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
