Job Description
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving revenue goals within an assigned portfolio of customers and target geography. Working closely with partners, team members, and customers, the TAM will help grow INS business within existing accounts as well as expand customer base in target verticals and geographies. The TAM is the main representative of the INS brand to our customers, and as a result, this role requires a high level of professionalism, discipline, and a drive to succeed.

Job Description
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving revenue goals within an assigned portfolio of customers and target geography. Working closely with partners, team members, and customers, the TAM will help grow INS business within existing accounts as well as expand customer base in target verticals and geographies. The TAM is the main representative of the INS brand to our customers, and as a result, this role requires a high level of professionalism, discipline, and a drive to succeed.
Duties of the Territory Account Manager Include:
- Professionally represent the INS brand and our partners to customers and prospective customers.
- Consistently achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Conduct timely and effective lead follow up by proactively engaging potential INS customers.
- Navigate complex customer and partner organizations to drive results and grow customer business with INS.
- Understand and utilize internal and external resources to present the right message at the right time to customers and prospective customers (serve as "quarterback" internally to direct resources where needed)
- Work closely with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure the expectations of our clients are met.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and partner stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a strong funnel of opportunities.
- Enter quotes and assist with order follow up and communication as needed (backup customer service and inside sales).
- Develop an understanding of customer applications and where our products fit.
- Present Solutions that solve customer problems and needs.
Qualifications Include:
- 10 years experience in a technical outside/field sales role - required.
- Required experience in industrial networking (preferred), or controls & automation, or wireless & IoT sales.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing a territory/region - preferred
- Experience with networking products, wireless products, automation, and IoT solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to communicate with all levels and departments (executives, engineering, technicians, etc.)
- "Hunter" mentality thriving in social situations and learning about new applications.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and understand INS solutions and how they help our customers in their unique applications.
- Expertise in navigating complex customer and partner organizations.
- Team oriented and highly disciplined in day-to-day duties.
- Customer focused, self-starter who is comfortable navigating ambiguous situations.
- The role of TAM is an in person, customer facing role. The TAM must be willing and able to make regular visits to customers and travel when necessary.
Additional Requirements
- Location: Dallas - Fort Worth Metropolitan Area
- Hybrid
- Ability to do up to 5 nights per month of overnight travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Do not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B
visa status). - Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
