Chemours is seeking a Product Growth Sr. Technical Manager to join our growing Technology team! This position will report directly to the Sr. Director, Global Technology for Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS) at our world-class innovation center, The Chemours Discovery Hub, in Newark, DE.
With a passion for innovation, this role empowers a diverse team of scientists to develop novel solutions for the thermal management needs of the future, including new refrigerant technologies that support the need to improve the energy efficiency of HVAC systems while reducing the global warming potential of refrigerants currently in use and cutting-edge immersion cooling technology. Adjacent market needs in the high-tech industry are of interest as innovative solutions are developed and brought to the market to support a sustainable way of living for all. This role drives business strategy by leading with agility and curiosity, providing technical guidance, ensuring project results, and prioritizing safety. Through collaboration within Chemours and external partners, this role must have a courageous approach to innovation to support TSS's continued recognition as a leader in the industry.

Pay Range (in local currency):
$134,400.00 - $210,000.00

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Foster a culture of holistic safety both in the laboratory and office.
- Lead the team through the implementation and execution of the Agile methodology for nimble project management. Ensure a monthly sprint approach is in place that enables effective backlog planning (critical milestone management) and execution across the multi-functional project teams.
- Partner with Technical Service, Marketing, and Business Development to build an ideation pipeline to identify and assess the technical feasibility to solve identified problems in the targeted applications being pursued for growth NPD (New Product Development).
- Assess the technical gaps to accelerate product development outcomes and accelerate project execution through partnerships for open or collaborative innovation, including direct and Tier 1 customers, competitors, as well as national labs. Ensure grants are secured to obtain external funding to accelerate project execution with attractive reinvestment economics for the company.
- Manage Product Growth budget to meet or exceed goals aligned with business financial goals. Lead the monthly process to manage the TSS capital budget for TSS to ensure execution aligned with business priorities and within the approved budget.
- Provide guidance and effectively allocate technical resources needed to achieve business objectives for executing the strategic projects for new product development.
- Demonstrate leadership and responsibility for Chemours™ Orange Values for the Product Growth Technical team resulting in no safety incidents and no ethics violations.
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated ability to build effective teams and drive business results
- Experience in the chemical industry, including familiarity with product development & process technology
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable with ambiguity and courageous conversations to drive clarity and alignment
- Strong networking and communication skills
