Position: National MEP Estimator
Ideally based out of our Frisco TX office but fully remote an option for exceptionally well qualified candidates.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Review drawings, specifications, and owner documents to establish scope of work contents and other respective deliverables around Service and Retrofit estimates and prepare documents for specific deliverables.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and summations of materials (raw/prime cost) in estimating system
• Attend as needed pre-bid and project meetings and participate in the presentation of project estimates to project Owners and other partners. May lead internal and external meetings.
• Prepare RFI's and collaborate with Crete partners to confirm document interpretation and participate in determination of strategy
• Own the preparation of all estimating and target value design functions for project including establishing reporting formats, assignment of areas of estimating responsibility, compiling estimates, preparation and oversight of project estimates working in close coordination for each project with account managers and the National sales team.
• Prepare information for turnovers and conceptual estimates and cost models as requested.
• Review all estimates for accuracy and correctness
• Track material, labor, subcontractor, per diem and rental costs for trends
• Keep an orderly inventory of estimates and proposals including deliverables and contract exhibits and attachments required for commercial HVAC service and retrofit projects
• Keep current with new products, pricing and trends in industry to include working knowledge of and experience of all labor rates, self-perform productivities and crew mixes.
• Assist with conceptual design and pricing efforts as required
• Assist project managers in the continuous assessment of project risks and opportunities and how it relates to the overall project cost. This includes reviewing monthly cost reports and labor reports and identifying variances from original estimate.
• Ability to mentor, guide, lead and train less experienced Estimators and Jr. Estimators to assist in their development.

Required skills and qualifications.
- Minimum 7 to 10 year's commercial MEP experience with particular expertise in service and retrofit project estimation and scope of work. Chilled water experience mandatory- (chiller replacements, chill water fan coils experience required)
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Estimating, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks with fast and high-quality turnarounds.
- Expertise with building/estimating techniques and software:
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 30%
