We seek a dynamic and results-driven Central Region Sales Manager to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Central Region Sales Manager will drive sales growth and manage customer relationships within the Central Region. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in industrial sales management. The Central Region Sales Manager position will be responsible for assigned accounts and business development activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the petroleum equipment industry or other industrial business-to-business sales and a deep understanding of the market dynamics within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Central Region.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and timely resolution of issues.
- Actively market and generate specifications from end user customers.
- Establish and conduct product demonstration and evaluation sites.
- Conduct regular business reviews, demonstrations, and training with distributor customers to ensure alignment and identify growth opportunities.
3. Rep Management:
- Utilize a team of external manufacturer's representatives to drive regional sales growth.
- Provide coaching and product training to enhance the manufacturer's reps' skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
4. Sales Operations:
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production, engineering, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
5. Market Expansion:
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and partnerships within the Central Region.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the company's products and brand.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of sales experience, with at least three years in a sales management role of manufacturer's representatives.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership/management of external resources to get work done.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the Central Region as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
