What You'll Do:
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The Process Improvement (PID) Engineer will report to the Plant Manager and is responsible for providing technical assistance to the production department, QA lab, R&D, and sales department regarding the production of and the suitable application of oilfield chemicals.

What You'll Do:
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The Process Improvement (PID) Engineer will report to the Plant Manager and is responsible for providing technical assistance to the production department, QA lab, R&D, and sales department regarding the production of and the suitable application of oilfield chemicals.
What We're Looking For:
- Provide technical assistance to the production departments for operational issues pertaining to safety, environmental, capacity, and quality
- Provide process knowledge to engineering personnel to aid in the specification and /or maintenance of process equipment, instruments and control logic
- Partner with plant operation personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
- Direct the implementation of process and equipment changes to maximize productivity
- Provide leadership on projects related to the above as needed
- Act as a point of contact for technical issues with customers, suppliers and other Lubrizol locations including sales.
- Improve the Lubrizol Elmendorf management systems to ensure that Lubrizol Elmendorf is continuously improving its ISO 9001 and RC 14001 certifications.
- Overseeing the Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) and respond to customer complaints by investigating quality issues and issuing a report to the customer.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
- Expertise in the application of chemicals for well fracturing or well production.
- The ability to keep information confidential.
- Strong data analysis and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of the plant's documented management system, and ISO 9001 and RC14001 requirements
Considered a Plus:
- Experience with SAP, Aspen and Statistics
- Graduate degree in engineering
- Experience leading capital projects.
- Experience in oilfield operations
- Experience with lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience. For example, 5S or 6-sigma problem solving.
