Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President, Brand Identity, Public Relations & Communications, the Director, Brand Campaign Strategy (DBCS) is responsible for managing Stantec's corporate brand campaign strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's Strategic Plan to create lasting impact. This role will lead development of enterprise-wide external and internal brand positioning strategies and related campaigns to bring Stantec's brand to life. The DBCS works closely with leadership; Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations (MCPR) colleagues; and HR colleagues to develop high-impact programs and campaigns to strengthen Stantec's brand and differentiate us from competitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Stantec's corporate brand strategy including brand platform and brand architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with Stantec's Strategic Plan, to maximize business impact.
  • Lead annual enterprise-level brand campaign plan and budget development.
  • Work with MCPR colleagues to develop cutting-edge enterprise-level brand positioning campaigns and initiatives, with the goal of continually strengthening brand awareness, familiarity, and consideration in key markets, ultimately supporting revenue generation.
  • Partner with MCPR digital and analytics team to take a date-driven approach to campaigns; develop systems and processes for planning, executing, and optimizing enterprise-level brand campaigns.
  • Partner with MCPR digital team colleagues to develop website content that reflects Stantec's brand in a compelling way.
  • Partner with MCPR and HR colleagues on strategic recruitment campaigns to bring the best talent in the market to Stantec.
  • Partner with MCPR and HR colleagues on ongoing internal brand awareness/activation campaigns, from onboarding to ongoing "moments that matter", to infuse Stantec's talent brand/employee value proposition into the employee experience, supporting retention.
  • Partner with MCPR's acquisition support team to develop bespoke brand transition plans to capitalize on acquired firms' brand equity and transition that equity to Stantec.
  • Continually monitor competitor brand positioning efforts to ensure Stantec's brand positioning is unique and differentiated, being mindful of emerging industry trends.

Other Requirements:
  • Extensive experience leading development of enterprise-level multimedia brand campaign strategies and employee engagement/experience initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading creative teams (through direct and/or indirect reporting).
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, creative projects, bringing cutting-edge solutions to the table.
  • Experience leading video strategy and creative would be considered an asset.
  • Experience leading brand architecture/portfolio management would be considered an asset.
  • Collaborative, passionate, enthusiastic approach grounded in strategy but flexible enough to excel in a changing world.
  • Strong digital fluency.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative flair, with the ability to see the big picture and pay attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to build relationships and organize project teams that bring ideas to life.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with executives, senior management, peers, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Post-secondary degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism, or marketing
  • 15 years brand strategy experience, preferably in an agency setting; B2B or professional services client experience preferred

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):
  • NYC $155,100 / Outside NYC $123,100 - NYC $240,400 / Outside NYC $190,800 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY
  • SF Area $155,100 / Other CA Areas $135,400 - SF Area $240,400 / Other CA Areas $225,100 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
