Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Land Development with strong private industrial development experience to join our Community Development team in our multi-disciplinary office in Atlanta, GA. Atlanta is an exciting place to live, work, or visit. With a downtown office in the Peachtree Center International Tower, Stantec is at the center of the action. Our location is a big advantage, as many of our projects impact the heart of our community.

The candidate will work directly with clients to successfully implement and manage project design and construction administration for commercial, industrial, and municipal clients. The candidate will be responsible for Project Management, development of project team members, and for supporting and managing civil site design services of private development projects. This position will coordinate, and lead project teams focused on engineering and construction related services for clients primarily located in Georgia.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Execute project delivery and direct supervision over professional and technical staff.
  • Execute internal, client, contractor, and public communications.
  • Manage multiple projects in developing plan sets, specifications, budgets, schedules to meet or exceed our clients' expectations.
  • Lead, coordinate and delegate, proposal, contract, administration and project management efforts
  • Collaboration with other company internal groups and disciplines and sub-consultants.
  • Professional engineering design and project oversight including Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Travel for multiple days on the occasion for meetings and supporting teams in other offices.
  • Use your network of contacts to generate opportunities for work.
  • Work to grow and develop client base and team.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • 10 years of progressive civil engineering design experience with an emphasis in land development.
  • Experience in working with in the industry.
  • Proven knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with project teams as well as clients, including representing clients during public meetings and events.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in six months.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Indoor (Office Environment) Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting. Noise level varies but generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time spent using a computer/laptop at a workstation and related office equipment. Time spent carrying, reaching, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 9 kilograms / 20 pounds Occasional - 1-33% of shift. Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to perform work. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment if needed.
