POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Digital Content Producer position is part of the NYCEDC External Affairs Division which includes the company's Marketing, Public Affairs, and Government and Community Relations Departments. This role serves a key function of identifying digital content development opportunities that can be used across digital/web and social channels, advertising and stakeholder communications across NYCEDC's broad portfolio of projects and programs - contributing to our mission of creating a vibrant, inclusive, and globally competitive economy for all New Yorkers. The Assistant Vice President will collaborate with leadership, department staff, and their External Affairs colleagues to produce digital content that aligns with NYCEDC priorities.

The goal of this position is to support new opportunities in driving elements of the NYCEDC narrative, which includes concepting, developing and producing short term and longer range series content, particularly around milestones and storytelling around priority NYCEDC projects. These opportunities include engaging stakeholders in the digital environment around benefit/impact storytelling to highlight NYCEDC's value and accomplishments. Importantly, this position is meant to support digital content opportunities needed across the EA division - social media, press events, video, newsletters, paid media, website, stakeholder engagement.

Consideration process will include review of portfolio as well as examples of project planning approach or content creation and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with External Affairs leadership to establish a digital content strategy, concept ideas and production plans and to identify storytelling and narrative opportunities that align with the overall NYCEDC brand and the company's strategic and project priorities
  • Convene and lead digital content ideation including researching, writing, storyboarding, event logistics and project timelines
  • Collaborate with External Affairs colleagues to strategize and incorporate digital content principles for projects and communication channels including social media, website, multimedia and video where appropriate
  • Proactively identify new opportunities, resources, tools, and techniques to enhance digital product
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Digital Content concepting and production, Communications, Marketing (or equivalent)
  • 5-8 years of experience in digital content development/production, marketing, or integrated communications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience concepting and creating digital/multimedia content for various channels, including social media, web, broadcast and other platforms
  • Expertise in writing and storyboarding for digital content
  • Strong project management skills as relevant to the creative content/design/development process and timetables
  • Experience in high pressure environments with multiple projects, input from various sources, and variable deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate on-location interviews, photography and videography
  • Experience working with videographers, editors, graphic designers, sound designers; proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects helpful
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative suite and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel to event and project sites in NYC
  • Ability to lift and transport photography and video equipment to event sites
  • New York City residency is required within 180 days of hire


Salary Range

$100,000-$103,000 USD
