We seek a motivated Aviation Design Engineer to join our growing Aviation team in our San Antonio office to support and manage a variety of aviation projects both airside and landside. As an Aviation Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design and construction of airport projects; prepare analyses and reports for on-going projects; prepare plans and specifications; mentor and coordinate the work of analysts and other technical staff and manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.

Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience, preferably airside
- Must be a professionally registered engineer
- Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
- Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circular's and Engineering Briefs
- Familiarity with pavement design and FAARField Design Software
- Experience with construction phase services and construction phasing and sequencing
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation experience
- Experience with modeling of aircraft and vehicle turning movement simulations in AeroTURN, AutoTURN, Path Planner, and/or AviPLAN
- Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
