POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Business Partner plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees. The HRBP works in partnership with field and corporate leaders to implement HR strategy and align personnel with company goals and objectives.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Addresses legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are administered uniformly across the branches of responsibility under the guidance of the Director of HR and VP of Operations.
  • Oversight of recruiting processes through the management of individual positions, aids in interviewing, testing, and selection of candidates to fill vacant positions when appropriate.
  • Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by human resources executives.
  • Participates in administration of performance review system to ensure compliance.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Aids in investigation of employee relations issues and advises management in appropriate resolution. Builds relationships with the legal team and seeks legal advice when appropriate. Prepares thorough summary documentation of investigation.
  • Oversees exit survey process, including any required follow up.
  • Prepares and analyzes personnel reports and audits, ensuring HRIS compliance.
  • Analyzes employee engagement and partners with field and corporate leadership to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Create a professional rapport with Union Rep (If applicable). Ensure Union CBA is followed.
  • Keeps up to date with all state and federal laws.
  • Represents branches at personnel-related hearings and investigations under advisement of the Director of HR.
  • Oversight of personnel functions associated with the acquisition of new companies coming onboard in the respective region.
  • Directly supervises 1 - 3 non-exempt employees in the Human Resources department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include 30% travel to regional branches for recruiting, training employees and management; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelors degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR management role over multiple location operations. Have knowledge of state employment and workers' compensation laws in regions responsible for.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1 - 3 non-exempt employees in the Human Resources department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include 30% travel to regional branches for recruiting, training employees and management; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Human Resource systems and Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills required.
Certificates & Licenses: PHR or SPHR certification preferred
