Job Description

As Director, you will work as a part of a team of professionals helping to solve complex business problems from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Actively lead a team by monitoring and driving delivery of services to clients, leading team meetings, supporting and driving Vialto strategy and achieving team goals.
  • Collaborate with Partners to co-create service offerings and implement client service strategies.
  • Involvement in business development activities, such as client seminars, roundtables, etc.
  • Lead conversations on digital automation solutions.
  • Delegation of consulting and compliance work to appropriate staff to maximize utilization, balance profitability and support staff development.
  • Focus on the market and new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and develop a series of meaningful recommendations.
  • Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder perspectives, to develop solutions and recommendations.
  • Act to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Signing of Canadian and/or US personal income tax returns and related forms/deliverables.
  • Consulting focus with clients to drive value to their global mobility programs.
  • Develop perspectives on key global trends and their impact on the business and our clients.
  • Train your teams and encourage ownership of their development.


Qualifications
  • Proven success and solid experience in expatriate taxation; knowledge of personal income tax in Canada and the US is essential. Minimum of 10 years in the industry.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience in client facing roles.
  • US professional accounting designation, such as CPA or Enrolled Agent, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of payroll and equity compensation.
  • Demonstrated business development skills and enthusiasm to contribute to Vialto's continued growth and success.
  • An interest in improving digital and technology skills, learning new tools and adapting the way you work.
  • A commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple assignments, clients and employees.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude.
