The Opportunity:
This is your chance to join WSP!! Reporting to the Mechanical Group Manager, this Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for calculation, design, technical specification, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit 3D modeling services on various projects.

What you can expect to do here:
Calculation, design, and preparing specification for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Domestic Hot and Cold water piping, Sanitary and Storm piping layout, and Natural gas piping;
Preparing AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D modeling for mechanical systems;
Understanding of building mechanical engineering requirement, Ontario Building Code (OBC), ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, and CSA standards for building and site design;
Perform individually or as a team member, under direct supervision of senior engineers;
Basic understanding of project management;
Other duties as assigned/required.
What you'll bring to WSP:
University graduated with minimum Bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering; Registered P.Eng. with PEO;
4 to 6 years of experience in designing mechanical systems for buildings transportation, healthcare, commercial and light industrial projects including: heating, cooling, ventilation, piping, plumbing, natural gas, and BAS (Building Automation Systems);
Ability to work independently or as a team member to deliver the design and meet the deadlines;
Experience with utility companies, authorities having jurisdiction, and applicable codes, standards and work practices;
Familiarity with software used for mechanical engineering such as HAP, Tracer, equipment selection, etc.
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D. MicroStation is a plus;
Exemplary interpersonal skills with team members and other disciplines;
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, detail oriented, organized, hard worker, and team player attitude;
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
