Surgery - General Physician

Facility in Seneca, PA seeking General Surgery locums coverage Rates: $325/hr regular $2700/clinic + 24 hour call $400/hr call back This facility is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible general surgeon to cover 20-25 shifts monthly with responsibilities at multiple locations. This is an ongoing position involving clinic, elective OR, and on-call duties for general surgery cases. Responsibilities: * Clinic Duties: Assess scheduled patients and determine the need for surgery; coordinate surgery schedules with the OR team. * Rounding: Morning rounds with another surgeon and APP. * Procedures: Bread and butter general surgery procedures including appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies (upper & lower scopes). * On-Call Duties: Provide 24-hour clinic and call shifts (minimum of 2 days per week). Schedule and Hours: * Clinic Coverage: Monday-Friday, 2-3 days per week. * OR Block Time: Elective surgeries scheduled based on the provider's assessments. * Consults: Average of 5 daily. * Outpatients Seen Daily: 20. * Scheduled Cases Per Day: 5-10. Requirements: * Certifications: Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery * Licensure: Pennsylvania State License (or willing to obtain) * Experience: 1+ year of experience preferred * Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, CPR, and PALS * DEA: Required Facility Information: * EMR Systems: Cerner and Epic This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled general surgeon to work across a variety of clinical settings with a strong support team in place for both hospital-based and outpatient surgical care.
