Job Title: Composite Mechanic - Everett, WA Job Description Supporting heavy maintenance and modification of 737 aircraft. The Composite Mechanic will remove and reinstall structures as required to access repair areas, repair carbon fiber and fiberglass on fairings, flaps, slats, flight controls, etc. This role involves taper-sanding various materials for damage removal in areas that are often challenging to access. You will read repair manuals and drawings to perform repairs and determine the types of materials required for each individual repair, as well as the number and orientation of repair plies. Additionally, you will apply heat blankets with proper thermocouple placement and proper bagging schedules, and operate a Heatcon hot-bond console. Responsibilities Support heavy maintenance and modification of 737 aircraft. Remove and reinstall structures as required to access repair areas. Repair carbon fiber and fiberglass on fairings, flaps, slats, flight controls, etc. Taper-sand various materials for damage removal in challenging areas. Read repair manuals and drawings to determine types of materials and number and orientation of repair plies. Apply heat blankets with proper thermocouple placement and proper bagging schedules. Operate a Heatcon hot-bond console. Essential Skills 4+ years of recent aircraft composite repair experience. Experience in repairing carbon fiber and fiberglass structures on aircraft. Ability to taper-sand, place core plugs, and perform thermocouple placement. Ability to read repair manuals and determine materials and tools required for repairs. Minimum hand tools required (basic wrenches, socket set, hi-lok pliers). Additional Skills & Qualifications Airframe license preferred. Proficient in diagnosing and performing composite structure repairs. Experience operating a Heatcon hot-bond console. Why Work Here? Competitive pay and a steady schedule. Shifts are 10 hours each, either 0530 – 1600 or 1530 – 0200, with extra shifts/OT available (a typical week is 50 hours). The first week consists of ATS and customer-specific training on the day shift, between 24 and 40 hours. Orientations are held every Monday.
