This highly collaborative position is a key part of the Battery Technology organization. You will work with other leaders, engineers, and technicians to establish Proterra as a world-class manufacturer of battery-based energy storage.About the Role – You will:Support the advanced manufacturing engineering team in development of new processes & equipment to allow Proterra to grow battery production capacityAct as the main point of contact for manufacturing equipment and process improvement projects from concept through equipment launchEstablish project requirements and scopeDevelop and communicate project plans and schedulesManage and report on project costsCollaborate with suppliers to ensure projects stay on scheduleTrack and drive closure to risk mitigations and open issuesWork cross functionally with internal and external teams to ensure equipment development launch successCoordinate with launch team to ensure readiness for start of production milestoneAbout Our Group:The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering group seeks to develop innovative new manufacturing processes and automation tools to establish Proterra as a world leader in battery pack manufacturing. It is comprised of several different teams focused on different aspects of battery manufacturing, including process development and automated manufacturing equipment design.This role is part of the larger Battery Technology Team.
