Overview:
We are a high paced 35-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. Our patients range from STEMI’s, post Cardiac Catheterization care, CHF, Arrythmia and Blood pressure Management, Cardiac Catheterization, and Stroke management. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 with Patient Care Associates on staff to assist as well. We strive to create an environment where clear communication, accountability, mutual respect and most importantly teamwork are utilized to provide our patient’s exceptional care.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining(Must pass NCLEX within 90 days of Graduation Date), and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
