Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We're looking for a RF Hardware Engineer to join the Snap Lab team!What you’ll do:Design RF and electrical circuits and systems that contribute to exciting launches of hardware here at Snap Lab.Collaborate closely with internal and external teams such as mechanical, software, industrial design teams, and suppliersCreate schematics for RF related circuits and systems that include high speed design, RF front end related components, power supplies, etc.Perform, supervise, and review layout for PCB, flex, and rigid-flex designsDevelop test plans, perform RF validation and generate validation reportsDebug hardware issues, including baseband and RF circuits.Design electrical and wireless prototypes for new product conceptsAuthor clear and comprehensive documentationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong RF engineering fundamentalsExperience with hardware level board design including schematic capture and CAD layoutAbility to develop and execute test plans to validate circuits, components, and electrical systemsDemonstrated ability to use common RF and electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power suppliesFamiliarity with tools like Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, Advanced Design Systems, and/or MatlabUnderstanding of RF behavior and fundamentals including impedance matching, noise figure, mixing, linearity, and smith charts.Knowledge of wireless communication standards including WiFi, BT, BLE, GPS, 4G LTE, 5G, etc Knowledge of layout strategies for desense and EMI minimization, signal integrity, and isolationExperience designing systems that include high-speed digital interfaces such as MIPI CSI / DSI, PCIe, SDIO / eMMC, UFS, etc.Thorough understanding of RF PCB design, associated constraints, impedance matching, and/or filter tuningMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as electrical engineering or equivalent years of experienceDemonstrated experience designing RF/electrical circuits and systems, RF system analysis, component and chipset selection3+ years relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in RF/Electrical engineering or related field Ability to solder small discrete  components such as 0402s, 0201s and 01005sThe estimated application deadline for this requisition is 30 days, but Snap reviews applications on a rolling basis and may modify this period.If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):The base salary range for this position is $138,000-$207,000 annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $131,000-$197,000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $117,000-$176,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.SummaryLocation: Boulder, Colorado; Los Angeles, CaliforniaType: Full time
