The Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) Research Program at the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Institute (WCI) invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions (all ranks considered).
About the Role:
Successful candidates will have the opportunity for leadership roles within the Wilmot Cancer Institute and the URCC NCORP Research Base (depending on experience). The position involves collaborating with a dynamic team of over 30 faculty and trainees across 4 schools and 15 departments, focusing on cancer prevention, cancer control, and cancer care delivery research.
Candidates are expected to:
- Maintain an innovative, independent, and collaborative research program.
- Secure extramural funding.
- Actively participate in CPC Program meetings and activities.

- Center for Research on Flavored Tobacco Products (CRoFT).
- Clinical and Translational Cancer Control Research Training Program (CCRTP).
- Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D., MD, DO, or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Proven track record of independent funding at the R01 equivalent level (K99/R00 awardees also considered).
- Strong record of scholarly production with significant impact.
- Research experience in primary prevention and/or cancer control/care delivery supportive care (e.g., integrative oncology, nutrition, exercise oncology, geriatric oncology, health disparities).
- Preference for investigators with experience in:
- Novel behavioral and lifestyle interventions for the primary prevention of cancer.
- Research focused on the dissemination and implementation of effective supportive care interventions into standard cancer care.

Salary Range or Pay Grade
$100,000 - $225,000 a year
The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
