Otology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity

As an APP in this role, you will work independently but in close collaboration with a Neurotologist within a high-volume, fast-paced otology/neurotology surgical sub-specialty clinic. Your role will involve providing medical care to complex ENT patients, including:
 

  • Diagnosis and Treatment: Developing independent treatment plans, recommending surgical procedures, and managing postoperative care.
  • Collaboration: Working with a multidisciplinary team including a Neurotologist, an Otology Fellow, Residents, Audiologists, and other staff to ensure cohesive and effective patient care.
  • Procedure Mastery: Gaining proficiency in various procedures such as ear cleanings with microscopy, foreign body removal from nose or ear, and other relevant techniques.
  • Diagnostic Interpretation: Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic tests including audiograms, X-rays, and CT scans.
  • Patient Education: Instructing and counseling patients on hearing and balance health, adhering to established protocols and guidance from licensed physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Independent Care: Provide and manage patient care autonomously while integrating feedback and collaboration from the Neurotologist.
  • Procedure Performance: Master and execute specialized in-office procedures related to otology.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Accurately interpret diagnostic results and incorporate them into patient care plans.
  • Patient Interaction: Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, ensuring they understand and adhere to their care plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimize outcomes.

  • Clinical Expertise: Advanced clinical skills in otology and neurotology, with proficiency in relevant procedures and diagnostics.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to make independent decisions and develop treatment plans based on complex cases.
  • Adaptability: Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical environment.

This role is suited for an APP who is eager to engage in specialized patient care, work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and continually enhance their skills in a dynamic clinical setting.
