The Camera & Photos team focuses on bringing a world-class photographic experience to all our users. The Camera and Photos QA teams work hard and deliver quality products that ship to millions of people. The Photos QA team is currently looking for a software development engineer in test to join us in driving the quality of Apple’s Camera & Photos apps. We are seeking that unique individual with a strong technical background and understanding of software automation testing technologies. Great candidates are experienced tools & automation engineers who have a strong understanding of application back end systems and AI who also possess strong debugging skills.Minimum Qualifications4-6 years experience in the software industry, with focus and true passion for quality via automation test design and developmentStrong understanding of quality assurance software testing, including test planning, as well as working with automated test suitesStrong experience developing automation using Python or Swift, Jenkins, shell, JSON, and SQLStrong understanding of OOP concepts, especially as they pertain to Python or SwiftThe successful candidate will be highly motivated, can multi-task, and change priorities quickly as needed.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Testing Frameworks - eg, such as pyunit, etc.Working knowledge of Apple platforms such as iOS and macOS is preferredStrong problem solving, critical thinking, organizational and communication skillsStrong debugging skills in python, Swift or similar languageExperience with imaging and photo applications and their related technologies desirableExperience with AI technologies a plusPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
