We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dairy Manager to join our team and help us continue our legacy of excellence. Job Summary:As the Dairy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dairy farm. You will manage the herd, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, optimize production processes, and lead a team of dedicated staff. Your expertise in dairy management will be crucial in maintaining high standards of animal welfare and product quality. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate activities of Herd Manager, Reproductive Manager, Lead Herdsman, Maintenance Manager, Heifer Manager, and Feed Manager.Communicate effectively with employees and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and production standards.Handle emergencies and serve as the first point of contact.Monitor herd health, implement health protocols, and manage breeding programs.Collaborate with veterinarians and act as a liaison with nutritionists and feed salesmen.Maintain accurate records of herd health, production, and reproduction.Stay updated on advancements in dairy farming technology and best practices.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements:Experience: Minimum 5 years in dairy farm management; strong knowledge of cattle health, breeding, and nutrition.Leadership: Proven supervisory experience; excellent team management and communication skills.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with dairy cattle, milking procedures, and herd management; proficiency in farm management software and machinery maintenance.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly; mechanical knowledge preferred.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Dairy Science, or equivalent experience.Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; ability to foster a collaborative team environment.Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.Language: Spanish speaking capabilities are a plus.
