Consider an opportunity in a combined clinical and leadership role, as Medical Director of Saratoga Hospital Medical Group Primary Care - Mechanicville, just 18 miles to Saratoga Springs in Southern Saratoga County and less than 18 miles to downtown Albany, New York.
Our Practice
This primary care practice is located in the heart of Mechanicville in a completely renovated, modern space.
This intergenerational practice, established in 1954, has served residents of the community and surrounding area for more than 60 years. Join our team of two physicians and one nurse practitioner. The practice has room for growth and addition of new providers.
You will join a practice that has been a center of caring for the patients in the community the founders loved, where they were raised and have raised their families.
Our practice provides continuous medical care through all stages in life - from pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric care, including primary care, sick care, minor surgical procedures, lab, medical imaging and more.
Mechanicville is located on the Hudson River, situated between Stillwater and Waterford, adjacent to the popular suburban residential areas of Clifton Park and Halfmoon.
- Practice 100% outpatient medicine, using our hospitalist service.
- Call is by phone, one week every three months, Friday to Friday 5 p.m.
- This practice has earned National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognition, certified as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home.
- EPIC EMR across Saratoga Hospital and the Albany Med Health System
- Laboratory Draw Station five days per week 7:30 - 4:00, point-of-care testing on site
- RetinaVue on-site for diabetic retinal exams
- Dietitian on-site, two days per week
- Behavioral health one day per week
- State-of-the-art ancillary services and specialist care offered through Saratoga Hospital in Malta, Saratoga and Wilton.
Snapshot of Leadership Responsibilities
- Medical Directors provide three to four hours weekly in leadership role, compensated with an annual stipend.
Provide high quality, efficient, service-oriented patient care and maintain an atmosphere of partnership and cooperation among the practice and all other SHMG clinical/administrative activities. - Provide medical direction for all medical staff at the practice, and be responsible for the application and enforcement of all applicable bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the hospital and hospitals medical staff.
- Ensure that clinical services are provided in such a manner that Saratoga Hospital will be continuously ready for review, and upon such review, will satisfy the applicable standards of The Joint Commission, the New York State Department of Public Health and all other accrediting or regulatory bodies.
- Develop provider performance indicators for review with the providers annually.
- Participate in the education & mentorship of practice staff.
- Provide leadership to support the practice and organizational goals to include, but not limited to:
- Quality improvement
- Patient satisfaction
- Fiscal responsibility
