We are working with Family Health Center Located in Kalamazoo, MI. They are seeking primary care coverage starting ASAP. The Family Health Center is a dedicated healthcare facility providing comprehensive family medicine services. Operating independently and not affiliated with any hospital, their center focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to the community. They cater to a diverse patient population, including those with Medicaid and Medicare, ensuring access to medical services for underserved individuals.

Start Date:
• ASAP
Duration:
• Ongoing until a permanent physician is found (30-day privileging process at most; no inpatient credentials needed)
EMR:
• EPIC
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Responsibilities:
• Provide ambulatory care, handle walk-ins, and conduct a full range of family medicine services, including post-hospital stay visits
• Manage a fast-paced environment with a patient load of 20+ per day
• Conduct 20-minute appointments and some telehealth sessions
• Care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly
Patient Population:
• Serve an underserved population in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
• Treat patients with any insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare
Support Staff:
• Work alongside 2-3 midlevel providers, medical assistants (MAs), triage nurses, and a behavioral health consult team
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Must be Board Certified (BC)
• Client is open to locum to permanent transition
