The Test Systems Business Unit is a special machine building branch within the ZF group, specialized in Test equipment design / installation / commissioning. With our North American Test System team, we are serving regional customers in providing turnkey Testing Solutions for their drivetrain and battery testing needs. For more than 35 years we have been specialists for validation and development test facilities. Position Summary: Lead the overall business relationship with key powertrain manufacturer accounts. Establish and implement short-term goals and the long-range strategies to accomplish results meeting company objectives. Effectively grow the business, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability thru collaboration with division business units and resources. What you can look forward to as a Business Development Manager: Lead customer development, growing sales and market share. Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels through close contact with key functional disciplines and decision makers. Develop and implement sales strategies in accordance with Divisional and Business Unit/product line objectives. Identify new customer requirements, creating internal visibility and actions to capitalize on opportunities. Organize development of customer quotations/proposals in close cooperation with Test Systems Headquarters. Compile, present and negotiate prices with the key OEM/ Tier 1 accounts. Responsible for regional operative and strategic planning for Business Unit serving powertrain customers. Maintain oversite of account profitability, with actions to support and improve margins whenever possible. Maintain awareness of competitor activity and overall market conditions to provide predictive intelligence to business unit leaders. Your profile as a Business Development Manager: Bachelor’s degree required. Understanding of and ability to effectively combine technical knowledge with commercial responsibilities. 6+ years of experience in sales roles in Automotive/ Automation industries in the field of capital equipment. Experience dealing directly with major global OEM and Tier1s for the R&D and End of Line investment segments. Demonstrated ability building customer relationships and in sales development, including achievement of first acquisition with new customers. Ability to deliver compelling value proposition proposals, highlighting commercial and product feature/ technical advantages. Analytical skills with ability to translate to strategic actions. Structured and process oriented working methods. Ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization, managing multiple projects and competing priorities. Ability to mobilize company resources toward support of acquisition initiatives. Able to develop creative solutions to difficult problems, or to resolve differences with customers. Why Choose ZF?
