We’re looking for a Mechanical Leader to join our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and innovative mechanical engineer who leaves a strong positive impression on clients and who has a vision and insight to shape a better world. We are looking for a leader who has extensive design experience with HVAC systems in buildings including sustainable, low carbon, and innovative strategies demonstrated on projects and growing and leading multi-disciplinary teams.Responsibilities:Leading mechanical engineering design on large multi-disciplinary projects in Commercial Property, Healthcare, Aviation and / or Science and IndustryLeading and manage multi-disciplinary teams to success. Fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence while building a climate of trust and openness within the teamResponsible and accountable for client relations (internal and/or external). Able to communicate to multiple levels of an external organization in order to drive vision and culture to achieve project goals.Performing as engineer of record (or alternate). Designing mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls. Incorporating sustainable and decarbonization design methods into building designs. Strive to be continuously winning future work for the team. Design and management of large, complex, long-term projects (technical or business) while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners within tight time and budget constraints.Business development capabilities, experience with putting fees and proposals together, established network within the architectural industry.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringMinimum of 15 years of experience in the built environment with major project leadership experience. Professional Engineering License in the US requiredExperience in leading multidisciplinary projects and managing complex and large scale client relationshipsTrack-record of work winning and demonstrable commercial foresight alongwith proven expertise in building and managing successful relationships with client organizations. Experienced, dynamic, and engaging leader, who has a strong track record of leading and managing teams. Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $175,000 to 225,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
