A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensed Gastroenterologist for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Manhattan. In this role, the Gastroenterologist will be providing for high-quality clinical care to the patients in the diverse communities that served.
About the Opportunity:
- Department: Clinical

- Including bonuses, total compensation could equate up to $600k
Responsibilities:
The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions in the field of Gastroenterology
- Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
- Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
- Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary
- Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns
- Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
- Participating in network activities, such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions
- Performing other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of Internal Residency, Gastroenterology Fellowship and Board / Eligible Certified
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- DEA license
- Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
