St Marys Medical Center (SMMC) - Long Beach, CA - is part of the Dignity

innovation, and community services. The facility provides a full complement of services and clinicians get exposure to a wide variety of cases. It is one of less-than 450 hospitals designated as Baby Friendly and received a Critical Care Excellence Award (2021 and 2022) by Healthgrades.
 
Responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist
10 ORs + 2 OBs | 427 beds | L2 6 OR plus 1 OB Trauma | Starts 7 am to 5 pm and/or 7 am to 7 pm
      Backup call -response call within 30 minutes; 
      10s, 12s, 24s available.
1,055 births year
7,388 cases | general, ortho, urology, | hearts, heads, trauma, neuro, peds | + OB (100 deliveries a month)
Call 1x or 2x a week/post call off
Care team model
Provide direct anesthesia services to Center patients, on average the clinician will be expected to work 100% clinical 
Managing incidents or complications
Communications with onsite Medical Director on questions regarding safety and policy and procedure protocols
Assist and collaborate with your peers efficiently and effectively to ensure smooth patient care and safety
