About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their dynamic team. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership, responsible for leading the financial and operating reporting function. This role demands an energetic, hands-on manager with a strong operational capability to contribute to strategic operational matters and decisions. The successful candidate will serve as the financial voice for the business, enhancing the company's reporting and analysis capabilities, and will be a strategic partner to the CEO. Basic functions include overseeing all financial, accounting, and analytical support, annual budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the company's financial statements are in compliance with GAAP and IFRS. The CFO will also be involved in risk management, treasury functions, and will work closely with the senior leadership team on strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions and the company's eventual sale. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in various financial roles, with at least 3 years' in a CFO-equivalent position for a business of similar size. Experience in a consumer products manufacturing business, particularly with overseas sourcing and North American retail sales, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in private equity-backed businesses, a strong understanding of financial and operational management systems, and a proven track record as a strategic business partner. The role requires a leader with a continuous improvement approach, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. An undergraduate degree with a relevant accounting designation is preferred, and the candidate should be an empowering manager with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
