Maintenance Supervisor

Greenwood Star is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team to assist in daily customer service operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor and is able to manage the demands of a Class A property with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Rehabilitate all vacant apartments to rent-ready condition
  • Effectively lead a team of maintenance personnel
  • Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed effectively and on schedule
  • Respond to resident concerns in a courteous and timely manner
  • Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and interiors/exteriors
  • Perform on-call emergency services and repairs as required
  • Conduct preventive maintenance procedures
  • Maintain the grounds and common areas, picking up trash as necessary
  • Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, on or off the property
Requirements:
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with peers
  • Strong communication and customer service
  • Communicates in a calm and open manner regardless of circumstances
  • Treats residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors with respect
  • Responds sensitively to concerns/complaints and exhibits a sense of urgency
  • Must have own tools
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Flexible with work schedule, including availability to work on-call during weekends, evenings, and holidays
Experience Requirements:
  • Must have multi-family experience
  • Proven experience in make-ready efforts and general apartment maintenance
  • Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (1+ years)
  • Experience leading a team of maintenance personnel
  • Troubleshooting/repairing plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues (2+ years)
Certifications:
  • HVAC Certified (Required)
  • CPO Certified (Preferred)
