Location: Dallas Fort-Worth Southwire Job Description The DFW CSC Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the entire warehouse and providing leadership to the distribution team. This includes the efficient and effective coordination of all product moves from production system into SAP, physical handling of product, picking orders from the warehouse, palletizing shipments, and loading/unloading trucks while ensuring overall accurate inventory that includes cycle counts of raw material and receiving POs in the system. This position manages departmental staff, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed in an organized and timely manner. Description of Duties and Responsibilities: Safety Management: Promote a Culture of Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements (i.e., dress code/PPE/reporting requirements/machine guarding). Lead the completion of Incident Investigations at the time of the event, including root cause and corrective action. Responsibility to escalate. When necessary, complete risk assessments and hazard recognition Respond to team member safety concerns in a timely manner. Communicate safety violations, team member safety concerns and/or identified safety hazards to management. Create Maintenance Work Orders for alteration or repair of safety hazards. Assist with development of safe work procedures and/or job hazard analyses. Participate in safety initiatives and facilitate participation. Single point of contact for site evacuation/shelter in place. Human Capital: Performance Management Provide coaching and feedback. Establish goals and objectives. Career Development planning and discussions. Document work performance and administer discipline. Team member Engagement and responding to eNPS identified priority drivers. Acts as a Management Representative during off-business hours (such as weekends and holidays) - shift rotation Resource management Ensure the right resources are in the right place to run the operation. First point of escalation for team member/personnel issues Participates in turnover analysis. Staffing control – manage vacations, leaves, job movements, etc. to ensure adequate staffing. Participate in interviews of new candidates. Establish training plans to include new hires, new to position, cross training, etc. Approval of team member timecards in ADP on a daily basis Qualifications and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. 5+ years of experience preferred Basic P.C. skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Ability to function and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operating environment is critical. Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, including public speaking. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing business environment. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions explicitly. Must be familiar with warehouse operation’s processes and procedures. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must be able to work well with others. Must have responsible work habits.
