The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and Leidos is seeking a MECM System Administrator to work at Ft. Meade, MD.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare, test, and deploy software updates using SCCM Software Deployment Management tools.
• Patching of servers & workstations from SCCM.
• Remotely log into the end users' endpoint (desktops and/or servers) in order to perform technical software configuration, rebooting ( All rebooting is scheduled and should not be handled by the MECM engineer and can be removed ) , and other actions.
• Provide support implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance support. Rapidly distinguish isolated user problems.
• Operate, maintain, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues associated with client agent health for all SCCM solutions ensuring that collection management is optimized to minimize collection evaluation times.
• Guides strategy, engineering, design, and project management of multi-user computer platforms.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex infrastructure hardware and software problems for multi- user computer platforms.
• Installs and maintains infrastructure hardware and software.
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.
• Establish comprehensive availability and capacity management solution using lessons learned
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues.
• Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for root cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives.
• May Mentor junior teammates (in problem resolution activities and resolves more complex technology issues.)
• Possesses a detailed knowledge of various technologies and demonstrates the ability to leverage and appropriately integrate those technologies within the current environment.
• Balances technology integration alternatives and recommends action with consideration to both technical efficiency and effectiveness.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
• Must hold an active security+
• Experience with Scripting/Automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages .
• Experience troubleshooting issues in a growing environment.
• A consultative/advisory mindset with the ability to design.
• Experience in troubleshooting application issues in virtualized environment.
• Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Request Management.
• Collaboration with the team in implementing new technology initiatives, standards major changes or upgrades to production environments.
