The Role:
Arine is seeking a Head of People to play a critical role in shaping and executing the people strategy for our next phase of growth. You will serve as a key business partner and trusted advisor to all at Arine. You will lead the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs that align with our business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and attract, retain, and develop top talent. The ideal candidate will have experience working in healthcare technology. This position will report to the CFO andwill be onsite 2 days a week in San Francisco.

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package (including bonus and equity), benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $180,000-200,000/year.

All staff at Arine are expected to be part of its Information Security Management Program and undergo periodic training on Information Security Awareness and HIPAA guidelines. Each user is responsible to maintain a secure working environment and follow all policies and procedures. What You'll be Doing:
Leadership and Strategy
- Learn the Arine business inside and out so you can be a strategic advisor and confidante to business leaders, helping them navigate the challenges of managing, building, retaining and growing their teams
- Work with the leadership team, managers, and employees to provide HR guidance and direction to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Establish credibility and trust throughout the company; serve as an effective listener, employee champion, change agent, and problem solver
- Analyze trends and metrics and share insights of opportunities with the leadership team
Organizational Development
- Recommend and implement solutions in areas including comprehensive performance management, titling, leveling, promotion and compensation strategy
- Provide advice, feedback and coaching, mediating between team members, and look for opportunities for development
- Build on talent acquisition strategy to identify and recruit top talent
- Innovate around our organizational approach to growth, including scalable ways to empower our employees and invest in their development
- Scale policy development, training delivery, and workforce design and planning
Compensation and Culture
- Promote the employee benefits program; manage key vendor relationships and the annual open enrollment process to ensure the Company maintains competitive programs for talent acquisition and retention
- Improve system for compensation analysis, pay scales, leveling, benchmark analysis as well as approving offers, managing performance increases, and scaling our compensation model
- Create a best-in-class employee culture and experience with cross-functional cohesiveness that aligns with the company's mission, vision, and values
- Run NPS and other employee engagement surveys and programs
Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:
- 10+ years of HR experience, ideally in fast-growing startup environments
- 10+ years of management experience
- Ability to navigate both strategic and tactical aspects of the position, rolling up your sleeves when necessary and delegating where appropriate
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
- Full understanding of HR best practices and extensive experience in HRIS, employee policies, federal and state labor laws, benefits, compensation, performance management, employee engagement and retention strategies, etc.
- Results-driven person who is equally kind, open, inclusive and empathetic
- Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a high level of energy and sense of humor
- Comfortable coaching executives and employees and delivering critical feedback
- Outstanding people skills and high emotional intelligence which allows you to quickly and easily build trust with business stakeholders and employees
- Know how to generate a hypothesis and love using data to tell stories that help inform the people strategy
- Highly organized and skilled at sequencing competing priorities quickly
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Greenhouse highly desired
- Experience with digital health/health care companies is a major plus
Travel and Other Information:
- For candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area, the ability to commute to our office on Market Street in San Francisco at least 2-3 days/week
