Position Highlights:
- Position: Manager, Hospital Based Medicine
- Location: Evanston Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, during normal business hours
- Required Travel: Travel to Highland Park, Chicago, and Arlington Heights will be required
What you will do:
- Participate in business planning, development and maintenance of structure, systems and workflows that support Endeavor; oversight and evaluation of structures, systems and workflows for all hospital based internal medicine physicians: Division of Hospital Medicine, ICU Hospitalists, & Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Provide division and departmental financial management for Division of Hospital Medicine ICU Hospitalists, Pediatric Hospitalists. This includes implementation of operations standards and strategic initiatives
- Implement and manage plans for growth and to accommodate growth via integrations and changing services required of all hospital based medicine physicians.
- Evaluate direct reports in administrative staff of all hospital based medicine departments: Internal Medicine, ICU and Pediatrics
- Implement and manage processes for identifying opportunities in clinical and operational practice, implement policies to maximize performance and optimize outcomes, monitor and evaluate new and existing clinical and operational processes.
- Manage appropriate and proper billing for physicians and Non-Physician Providers in the Division of Hospital Medicine, ICU Hospitalists, hospital based ICU intensivists, and Pediatric Hospitalists that meets industry recommended practice and applicable laws and regulations.
What you will need:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in related field preferred.
- Certification: n/a
- Experience: 2+ years of office practice experience or experience in a leadership role preferred. Clinical experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Unique or Preferred Skills:
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to work independently, and demonstrate initiative in identifying solutions to problems.
- Ability to work effectively and productively as a member of a team of diverse individuals, including physicians, administrators, superiors and subordinates.
- Must consistently demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Financial skills including ability to manage department/division budgets, and ability to develop financial proformas to evaluate practice business decisions.
- Expected skills and abilities should also include: able to drive results; manage change; personnel development; problem solving skills, decision making skills, organization and planning skills, delegation skills, customer centric, computer skills (Microsoft Office- with strong skills in Word and Excel).
- Experience with electronic medical record preferred.
