Computational Biologist (QSP Expertise) (Mid-Level)

We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Computational Biologist with expertise in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) and a strong background in PK/PD modeling and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research, working on projects funded by the NIH, FDA, DoD and pharma. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge computational models that integrate biological and pharmacological data to support drug development and regulatory decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and apply QSP models to investigate biological and pharmacological systems.
• Develop and apply PK/PD modeling and PBPK modeling to support drug development, safety, and efficacy studies.
• Collaborate with experimentalists, clinicians, and other computational scientists to design and interpret modeling studies.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, and publications.
• Stay current with advances in computational biology, pharmacology, and regulatory science to incorporate best practices and innovative approaches.
Qualifications:
• PhD or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Pharmacology, Systems Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in QSP modeling, PK/PD modeling, and/or PBPK modeling.
• Proficiency with relevant software tools and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, BioGears).
• Experience with data integration from various biological and clinical sources.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working on government-funded projects is a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Skills:
• Expertise in model calibration, validation, and sensitivity analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to modeling and simulation.
• Experience working with clinical trial data and preclinical studies.
