Cleared On Site System Architect / Engineer (3920)

Are you a visionary with a passion for designing and optimizing complex systems? We're looking for a talented System Architect/Engineer to lead our technical projects and drive innovation! This position is on site in Quantico, VA and requires a Top-Secret clearance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently or in coordination with the Technical Subject Matter Expert, designs, implements, and maintains system architectures that support the customer assigned systems. Responsible for successful operations and maintenance of all IT systems assigned to include database administration, system administration, system security support, and system configuration to meet best optimization. Responsible for all system components continuing to function normally through system maintenance, upgrade, and testing. Ensures system and process documentation is complete and up to date for every aspect of operational applications, services, or environments as a reference for future operations and maintenance, including version and platform upgrades. Responsible for verifying system architecture is compliant with system standards while operating as efficiently as possible. Evaluates analytically and systematic problems with workflow, system configuration, and planning resulting in the development of appropriate corrective action. When appropriate, oversees junior database administrator and system administrator tasks.
Required Skills / Experience:
• Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI if required
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. Education substitution requires 10+ years' proven specialized experience
supporting or leading IT network systems O&M with system architecture and engineering experience for on-premises and/or cloud environments
• 8+ years specialized experience supporting or leading IT network systems O&M with system architecture and engineering experience for on-premises and/or cloud environments
• Expert in system and database administration able to perform backups, databasing tasks, file recovery, user access support, and independently resolving complex system or user problems
under tight deadlines
• Experience with Domain Name Servers (DNS), Network File Systems (NFS), SSH services including standard daemons, protocols, and applications.
• Must possess and maintain at least one of the following certifications: Red Hat Certified System
Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or
other certifications exemplifying skill sets needed to manage the design, operations, and maintenance of IT systems

$126,600-$190,000 USD
