You Are:

The Proposal Development Center (PDC) at AFS is seeking Desktop Publisher to join its team. The Desktop Publisher is responsible for completing desktop publishing and production activities primarily in support of Federal proposal responses. The Desktop Publisher works with proposal managers, coordinators, editors, graphic designers and other team members to produce proposal templates, documents, and related material while ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements. The Desktop Publisher supports the proposal team by ensuring compliance with all solicitation formatting requirements for all submittal material - including paper copies, electronic copies supplied on media, and electronic copies submitted by email, if needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review solicitations to ensure full understanding of relevant submission requirements, review amendments and answers to questions, as appropriate
  • Prepare documents quickly and accurately by developing compliant Word templates based on solicitation requirements while adhering to AFS branding guidelines
  • Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat to ensure proposal documents are formatted in accordance with solicitation requirements
  • Ensure final versions of graphics are properly inserted into final proposal documents
  • Work closely with the Proposal Manager, Proposal Coordinator, Graphic Designer(s), and Editor(s) throughout the proposal development process
  • Prepare files for electronic delivery and/or production

Here's What You Need:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Share Point, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal-specific desktop publishing experience
  • Knowledge and experience using styles to format Word documents and developing templates for large, complex documents
  • Knowledge and experience formatting large, multi-tab excel files
  • Ability to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple, high-volume efforts under strict deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail focusing on quality and consistency
  • This position can work remotely but you must live within 90 miles of Arlington, VA and physically be in the office on an as-needed basis

Bonus Points:
  • Solid organization skills and detail oriented
  • Possess an excellent command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign
  • Ability to obtain security clearance


As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$70,000-$147,800 USD
