Description
Dalton Ag is a brand forged in America's heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996. Our sales team is seeking a highly motivated individual, passionate about making agriculture and farmers better, to serve as a regional sales representative for Dalton Ag Products, reporting to the Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will work remotely in Eastern Territory including Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Eastern Kentucky. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply your experience in the sales, business development and technical support fields to drive sales growth through building and supporting our dealer network.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Grow market share
• Develop and recommend strategies for achieving long and short business plans for key accounts
• Gather, assimilate and analyze market and competitive information
• Develop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting proactively, inventory management and product line demand issues
• Build relationships with dealers, customers and business associates.
• Target, recruit, and develop new, profitable, selling dealers, direct buyers, and customers.
• Provide technical/product support to key dealers and customers
• Implement all company sales and marketing programs
• Assist Marketing and Sales Support team with content for dealer/customer written communications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or Agriculture related fields
• Proven success as an ag equipment sales representative
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Knowledge of sales strategies and techniques
Physical Expectations:
• Travel can range up to 75% based on territory and season
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or control
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds (25), and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
