Cost Analyst
Key Role:

Provide comprehensive cost and financial support for DoD acquisition programs with minimal oversight. Develop detailed and defendable cost models that support key milestone decisions. Comprehend program requirements and scope to define estimating Work Breakdown Structures that abide by existing standards. Collaborate with program stakeholders to collect and normalize relevant data and conduct risk assessments. Support analysis reviews with government organizations to assure due diligence and validation of estimating methods.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience with cost estimating and supporting DoD or government agencies
  • Experience with developing presentations for clients that accurately articulate product results and impacts
  • Knowledge ofcore estimating competencies, including inflation, data normalization, and Work Breakdown Structures
  • Ability to collect and normalize large data sets, including use of pivot tables and data parsing methods
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive cost models independently
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with Earned Value Management practices
  • Experience with data analytical products, including Microsoft Bi or Tableau
  • Knowledge of cost related Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) products
  • Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA®) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
