Counterintelligence SME

***This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.***

Cherokee Preting seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Counterintelligence Subject Matter Expert (CI SME) to support USSOCOM. The CI SME shall possess SME-level skill sets in counterintelligence with demonstrated experience and results to include knowledge of training requirements, mission requirements, the ability to communicate with USSOCOM customers and knowledge of the organization accurately and effectively. CI SME hall assist the USSOCOM staff to identify and assist in the development of prudent COAs, recommend priorities, train members of the team, and employ technical knowledge for the long-term benefit to USSOCOM operations.

Employees must maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones. Deployments may be to a theater of operations with permissive, uncertain, or hostile environments while living in austere conditions for extended periods.

Counterintelligence SME Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide all necessary specialized non-personal labor, material, and services necessary to perform intelligence operations, coordination, product production, data integration, synchronization, and prioritization of USSOCOM missions and operational objectives
  • Possess SME-level skillsets in the specific intelligence discipline with demonstrated experience and results to include knowledge of training requirements, mission requirements, the ability to accurately and effectively communicate with USSOCOM customers and knowledge of the organization
  • Assist the USSOCOM Staff to identify and assist in the development of prudent COAs, recommend priorities, train members of the team, and employ technical knowledge for the long-term benefit to USSOCOM operations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Counterintelligence SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current Top Secret clearance and SCI eligible.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing counterintelligence related analysis while serving in a Joint Special Operations Task Force or Inter-agency Task Force, National Intelligence Support Team, National Military Joint CI Activity or Combatant Command, or a non-DoD equivalent IA operational community.
  • Five (5) years of experience in support of special operations and combat overseas tours with a SMU or SOF in an operational environment providing a direct analysis support function is highly desired.
  • Graduation from JCITA's Analytical Support to CI Functions Course (AFSCIF) or Counterintelligence Analysis Course (CIAC) is highly desired. Equally desired is graduation from a non-DoD equivalent IA training curriculum.
  • CI SME shall understand the F3EAD targeting methodology to include broad knowledge of additional intelligence disciplines and significant demonstratable experience in their field capable of leading analytical efforts culminating in products.
  • Demonstratable experience using non-standard data sets (to include metadata and publicly available information (PAI) is required.
  • CI SME shall have advanced skill sets with the HUMINT Operations Cycle, Asset Risk Assessment and Management System (ARMS), CI Support to sensitive operations, Operational Risk Management process, Pattern of Life analysis and one or more of the following areas: Human Factor Analysis, Human Terrain Analysis, SIGINT Targeting, Convergence Analysis, or Intelligence training.
  • CI SME shall have employed their expert knowledge and understanding of CI theory, doctrine, rules, laws, regulations, directives, systems, concepts, methodologies, and relevant skills related to full spectrum CI operations.
  • CI SME shall have demonstratable experience evaluating and communicating the risk from Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance UTS).
  • Must submit to counterintelligence polygraph examination.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
