Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for several Modeling and Simulation Engineer (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $225,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).

The candidate will perform the following duties:
- Develops, confirms, and validates computer simulation models used to assist in making various managerial and technical decisions.
- Recommends ways to optimize system designs that support current and future business, combining computer simulation and modeling with data analytics.
- Provides solutions to clients and project stakeholders for designing, engineering, implementing and improving systems and services.
- Executes simulation tests and experiments in order to predict system outcomes.
- Analyzes, dissects, interprets, integrates, and abstracts system design requirements; builds simulation models according to those requirements; troubleshoots and resolves software issues; and documents results of modeling and simulation activities.
- Works with internal clients, project stakeholders, and support partners to gather system design requirements and creates technical specifications.
- Collects, prepares, and manipulates data into a format necessary for appropriate simulation modeling input analysis.
- Constructs computer simulation models using a simulation software solution based on system design requirements and technical specifications; and ensures the models are designed for flexibility to support future modeling needs and enhancements.
- Operates, provides instruction for, and maintains a variety of simulation model training modules.
- Presents feedback to clients, project stakeholders, and partners for incorporation into system design decisions.
- Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide modeling requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
- Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
- Provides leadership and guidance in the development, design, and application of solutions implemented by more junior staff members.
- Coordinates with senior representatives within the customer organization to establish and define programs, resources, and risks.
- Applies expertise to Government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized modeling features and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math or equivalent.
- 1-10+ years of experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
