As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced CORPORATE CONTROLS ENGINEER.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Capable of performing the following manufacturing engineering functions:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Controls, or equivalent Engineering Degree is required.
Two plus (2+) years of experience and demonstrated success as a Manufacturing/Controls Engineer in an automotive manufacturing or assembly environment.
Must have experience supporting automated assembly and error proofing systems, to include camera-based vision systems (e.g. Keyence, Cognex).
Must have a strong understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operations including concepts of power distribution.
Must have excellent project management skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
PLC programming competency is required including the ability to write, troubleshoot, and understand ladder logic.
Experience with system integration in enterprise settings is preferred.
Experience with business intelligence tools or platforms, such as Power BI, is required.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala) and database scripting languages (e.g. SQL) is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
AutoCAD experience is a plus. Experience with Phoenix PC Works, Inderbus, Devicenet, RS View, Control Logix, and general vision systems such as Cognex and Keyence is highly desired.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Capable of performing the following manufacturing engineering functions:
- Proactively upgrade and support new and legacy manufacturing/assembly control systems, including electrical circuits and microcontrollers.
- Define and verify controls requirements on new, existing, and retrofit equipment.
- Document and archive accurate drawings and specifications.
- Design technical solutions in the areas of machine controls, machine learning, poke yoke development, process automation, advanced tooling, quality engineering, ergonomics, and safety.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical systems and controls (Siemens - Step 7, Allen Bradley - Ladder Logic). Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Support system integration for seamless and real-time data exchange between various systems (i.e. WMS, MES, WCS) PLC's, and IOT devices.
- Possess strong project management skills; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate on multi-disciplinary Agile teams to manage machine learning and other Data Science models.
- Analyze data and present findings to peers and senior management in a clear and concise manner.
