Addiction Medicine Physician

DirectShifts is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Medicine Physician to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients struggling with substance use disorders in the vibrant city of Ohio. Job Description: * Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioid, and other drug dependencies * Provide comprehensive addiction treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detoxification, and behavioral therapies * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress * Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations * Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use * Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services * Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery resources * Maintain accurate and detailed medical records * Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in addiction medicine through ongoing professional development Qualifications: * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or a related specialty * Valid medical license in Ohio State * Experience in addiction treatment and recovery services * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment * Passion for helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery Benefits: * Competitive hourly rate * Flexible scheduling options * Opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients * Access to a supportive and collaborative team
