Overview

The Junction serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our on campus residents, helping set USU students up for success in their studies. The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in ensuring our kitchen stays stocked and ready to feed the masses thereby allowing the Junction to live up to Dining Services Mission statement of "Creating an Excellent College Experience." Hours are weekdays, 5AM-1PM.

Responsibilities
  • Ordering necessary food and supplies from multiple vendors
  • Inventory control and management
  • Receiving Freight
  • Keeping Storage Areas clean & organized
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 5am-1pm, Monday-Friday
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Food Handler's Permit & understanding of proper food handling preferred

$15.00 per hour

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects.  Employees must be prepared to walk or stand more than on hour per day. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
