Hematology/Oncology Physician

Position Details: Start Date: January July Coverage Needed: Locum Physician to provide Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart. Schedule Details: Dates of coverage: 1 week (7 days Mon-Sun) per month, 8a-5p. Submission Requirements: Must meet ALL submission requirements in order to submit! * Board certified in both Hematology and Oncology - REQUIRED * Active NJ license - REQUIRED * ACLS - Required - REQUIRED * Must be able to work for both Atlantic City and Galloway locations - REQUIRED Work Details: * Practice Setting: Hospital * Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart * Coverage needed due to growth in outpatient volume and part-time inpatient providers being sick. * Patient population: Adult and Geriatric * Practice distribution: 49% hematology, 51% oncology * 5.6 physicians in the practice * Radiation Oncologist available at EHT Cancer Center for case discussions * 8 APPs providing coverage - Monday to Friday, an inpatient NP will assist the MD with notes, orders, and staff communication * Average hospital patient load: 8 per day (5 consults, 3 follow-ups) * Clinical areas: Oncology and Hematology in an inpatient setting * Hospital trauma level: Atlantic City - Level 1 * EMR system: Cerner * Required procedures: Inpatient consultative services If this role does not fit your current plans, I would still love to connect and discuss your career aspirations.
