Overview Oncologist needed for "The Victorian City on the River" (Red Bluff, CA) Dignity Health Medical Group - North State is seeking a Medical Oncologist to join our multi-specialty group in Red Bluff, California. This position will be solo in Red Bluff (population 14,000), but is connected to a Regional Oncology Center with a five-physician practice in Redding (population 90,000; approx. 30 minutes away). * Seeking physicians passionate about access to care in rural areas and excited to grow the program in Red Bluff, with support from a Regional Oncology Center in Redding * The oncology service line has tremendous support of the community and ensures our facilities have top of the line equipment * Highly qualified and oncology trained staff with a clinic environment that supports the practice of getting to know your patients * St Elizabeth Community Hospital is: * a Leapfrog Top 100 Hospital and has an A grade rating. * CMS 4 star rated hospital. * Has high quality and high patient experience scores Compensation Highlights: * $720,000 / Year * 2- year Salary Guarantee, with wRVU bonus * $40,000 Sign on bonus * Up to $20,000 Relocation Reimbursement * Group-paid Medical and Dental insurance * Generous 401k match (6-11% of earnings) * Paid malpractice * Paid licensure, renewals, DEA, etc With a light patient call schedule and no hospital based admission, providers are able to experience an exceptional work life balance while ensuring the best of healthcare standards. Responsibilities Patient Care: * Diagnose and treat various medical conditions. * Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. * Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories. Communication: * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. * Provide clear and concise medical information. * Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare. Documentation: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. * Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans. * Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations. Diagnostic Procedures: * Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging. * Perform procedures as needed * Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation. Team Collaboration: * Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions. * Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers. Quality Improvement: * Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. * Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement. * Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety. Compliance: * Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice. * Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements. * Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards. Qualifications * Completion of an Oncology Fellowship and Board Eligible/Board Certified are required * Experienced physicians and new grads both invited to apply * A valid and unrestricted California medical license Pay Range $346.00 - $347.00 /hour
