Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Director of Finance to join their team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP standards. You will manage various financial processes, oversee our accounting department, and provide strategic guidance to the President and CEO.
Compensation: $100,000 annually to include quarterly bonus potential of $2,500.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, as well as financial reports for our lending institution, ensuring compliance with prescribed formats and deadlines.
Oversee the annual financial review process conducted by our independent CPA firm.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including payroll, property, and sales and use tax reporting.
Maintain oversight of the Company's accounting books and records, with specific responsibility for the general ledger.
Coordinate cash flow management with the CEO to optimize financial operations.
Supervise and lead the accounting department, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance team effectiveness and professional development.
Foster proactive relationships with insurance agents to manage risk and optimize insurance coverage.
Develop and document comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
Create and execute plans to maintain compliance with financial institution loan covenants.
Manage relationships with the Company's IT consultants to ensure seamless financial operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance, with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
Previous management experience in an accounting department is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team effectively.
Proficient in Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite.
