RoomReady is looking to expand its business development team with the addition of a Business Development Manager (BDM) in the St. Louis area. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Audio Video industry. This role involves building relationships with prospective clients, developing strategies to penetrate new markets, and driving revenue growth through new client acquisition. This position will ideally be located in the St. Louis metro area with travel requirements up to 30%..

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients within the audio video industry.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with the company's overall growth objectives.
  • Identify and target prospective clients through networking, industry events, cold calling, and digital outreach.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs of clients.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key industry players, partners, and stakeholders to expand the company's reach and influence in the market.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive company profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to client, laying the foundation for long-term partnerships.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and track progress against targets, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed goals

Skills and Qualifications:
As a Business Development Manager the ideal candidate will need:
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within the audio video or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of the AV industry, including trends, products, and key players.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic business development plans that drive revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software with a strong ability to manage and analyze sales data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team results-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for the audio video industry and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements and innovations.
