The Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) near Durham, NC is seeking a Reproductive Endocrinologist for an open rank faculty position. Experienced and recently trained practitioners with a demonstrated commitment to clinical service, teaching, and scholarship are encouraged to apply.
Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology is comprised of 12 clinical divisions, over 100 faculty members, 36 residents, 17 sub-specialty fellows, more than 60 advanced practice providers and 200 rotating medical students and physician assistant program students.
Duke OB/GYN-REI has a long tradition of high-quality clinical care for women with infertility and reproductive endocrine disorders, as well as world-class clinical and translational research programs. Our nationally recognized education program includes an ACGME-approved fellowship program, one of the oldest in the country, with three trainee positions.
The REI team provides the highest level of patient care, outstanding education and advanced research in human reproduction, including female and male infertility, assisted reproductive technologies, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, reproductive surgery, developmental issues and female hormonal problems during and after the reproductive years.
The successful candidate will join four REI specialists, a psychologist and two physician assistants who provide care at the state-of-the-art Duke Fertility Center. The Center includes a multidisciplinary staff and a modern clinical laboratory whose shared goal is to provide high quality, compassionate care for couples and individuals. Fertility specialists provide a broad scope of care to help patients build their families while advancing knowledge in the field of reproductive medicine, and training subspecialty leaders for the patients of tomorrow.
In addition to REI, all major subspecialties are represented in the Department. Divisions within the department include Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Women's Community and Population Health and Generalists.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree and have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency and REI fellowship by the date of hire. Licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment. Rank, tenure status, and compensation are commensurate with training, experience and abilities.
